....here now to drop some Iron Man knowledge on you... at the previous site I made some noise being concerned about the Iron Man movie (coming out next summer I believe) being an ultra liberal lefty anti military superhero flick...
well in the current issue of Iron Man there is a bonus story that assuages these fears... it's penned partially by Jon Favreau (the director of the movie and star of Swingers)... in it Iron Man saves a flight he's on (well Tony Stark is on and he changes into Iron man) by taking a suicide bomber out of the plane at which point the bomber detonates himself, not hurting anyone, but killing himself... Iron Man comes back to the flight and tells the people to calm down the plane will be landing shortly, and they all start yelling at him telling him to "go back to America" because the bomber was ready to negotiate... Iron Man bails on the flight and the final page is him flying in front of the Eiffel Tower, saying he can't wait to get back home....
Glorious anti-French propaganda! I love it!!! No way the film becomes the far left do gooder anti U.S. film I was worried it was going to be.... my only problem would be that they didn't have any balls and made the suicide bomber in the story a 30 year old buzz cut white guy.... still great news and a definite step in the right direction for this film living up to it's potential....

Some food for thought.... aren't Dr. Doom and Iron Man pretty much the same character? I mean yes one is evil and the other is good, but they both have suits of armor they need to wear for their super powers and to stay alive.... I guess the similarities are just on the surface but it's still something I don't see or hear being brought up or discussed much....
