With the current climate of youth basketball it became apparent Lebron was going to become a professional athlete at a very young age.... that was going to be his lifestyle and job.... therefore it makes sense for him to cheer and watch those teams that were good at that time.... the Bulls, Cowboys and Yankees.... those were his idols and ideals, what he strove to be like.... if he held the Cavs, Browns and Indians in the same regard he wouldn't be the player that he is today... They were his role models.
At your job or in life do you like and strive to be like the guy who lives closest to you OR is it the most successful one?
Despite what people report and say and what he thinks and says he is not a "fan" in the same sense as you and I.... His is a unique situation and I'm glad he grew up "rooting" for those teams because it helped make him the the best player in the NBA (and eventually maybe ever) and he just happens to be PLAYING FOR AND IS FROM NORTHEAST OHIO.
